As the All Stars made breakfast in the kitchen, Meryl and Mwisho were called to the Diary Room. As if sensing what was about to happen, Kaone told the two "You can always change your mind," referring to talk surrounding Merylisho's intended marriage.

Before walking into the Diary Room, Mwisho laughed and told Meryl "This is the part where i allow the woman to do the talking." After settling in, Big Brother did not beat about the bush and headed straight into it. "We are gathered here.." Upon hearing these words, Meryl's mouth flew open, thinking the wedding would actually be taking place right there and then on the Diary Room couch.Engaged
Big Brother asked the pair if they seriously want to get engaged, to which they both responded, "Yes." The engagement party was then confirmed to be on Saturday. The two gave each other a kiss and then walked out. Uti and Munya did not waste any time and shouted "Wedding votes!" Kaone piped in. "Don't be confused Africa. They will break up after the show," he said.All the while, wedding bells rang over the loudspeakers in every room in the House.
If these events are anything to go by, Africa could be seeing the first wedding in the Big Brother Africa House

To survive the persisting food shortages, North Koreans are eating weeds, grasses and corn stalks that are mashed into powder and sometimes mixed with flour to make noodles or cakes.

Ten pre-school children die every minute from malnutrition and this number has not changed since the early 1980s despite global promises.

People in southern Somalia are starting to die from thirst says aid agency Oxfam.
Oxfam says assessment teams found seven people who died of dehydration, and that tens of thousands are now at risk. Oxfam reports an almost unprecedented situation, where people beg for water along the sides of the road. All surface water has gone, boreholes are running dry, and people are walking up to 70km (45 miles) in search of water.
Some people are dying and children are drinking their own urine because there is simply no water available for them to drink," Somali village elder Abdullahi Maalim Hussein told Oxfam.

Nearly six million children die from hunger or malnutrition every year, the Food and Agriculture Organization says. Many deaths result from treatable diseases such as diarrhea, pneumonia, malaria and measles, the agency says. They would survive if they had proper nourishment, the agency says in a new report on world hunger. The report, based on data compiled last year, estimated that 852 million people were undernourished during 2000-2002. In sub-Saharan Africa, the number of malnourished people has risen - to 203.5 million from 170.4 million 10 years previously, according to the new report.

A child still dies of hunger every five seconds, eight years on from a pledge to halve the world's hungry by 2015, a United Nations agency has said.
The annual UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) report says present levels of hunger cause the death of more than five million children a year.
The number of chronically hungry people has hardly budged since 1996.
But the FAO says the target of halving that figure remains within reach, and has urged richer nations to do more.
'Ruined lives'
It argues that fighting hunger is a good investment, saying the global costs of achieving the 2015 target pale against the price of not acting.
The State of Food Insecurity in the World 2004 report says hunger and malnutrition cost about $30bn (£15.5bn) each year in direct medical expenses, with indirect costs costing billions more.
The FAO estimates an annual funding increase of $24bn (£12.4bn) to reach the hunger target would be repaid almost five-fold in increased productivity and income.
Lynn Brown, chair of the report's working group, said: "The number of hungry people remains intolerably high, progress in reaching them unconscionably slow and the costs in ruined lives and wasted resources incalculably large."
A worsening situation in China and India, the world's most populous nations, is largely blamed by the FAO for the recent rise in hunger levels.
However, all but one of the countries with the highest levels of hunger are in sub-Saharan Africa.
Governments set the target of cutting the number of undernourished people by half in 2015 at the UN World Food Summit in 1996.
But by 2000-2002, the number of chronically hungry in developing nations stood at 815 million, only nine million fewer than the estimate made a decade earlier.
The FAO's Hartwig De Haen said the 2015 target was "ambitious but still feasible".

Microsoft has launched its latest bid to be computer users' default window on to the web.
The software giant has released the latest version of its popular web browser, Internet Explorer 9 (IE9), which it will help revive its fortunes in an increasingly competitive market. Since 2003 the company has seen a 97% lead dwindle to 60% today.
It will compete with new versions of other popular browsers such as Mozilla's Firefox and Google's Chrome.

Mozilla, which has recently launched a test version of Firefox 4, has nearly a quarter of the market and in some countries is the dominant web browser. Many browsers received a boost when the European Commission forced Microsoft to offer users of its Windows operating system a choice of browser, rather than internet Explorer as a default.
IE9 will initially be released as a beta, or test, product.
Ina Fried, who covers Microsoft for technology site CNet, said the new software brought Microsoft "back in serious browser contention".
"Internet Explorer still dominates in market share but they have been losing out for years to Firefox and more recently Chrome mainly because of where they were on the technology front," she told BBC News.
"This release gets them back in the game technologically and really takes advantage of Windows.
"The question now that they have a better browser technologically, is will they gain back some of that market share."
